CodeMyMobile
A decade across engineering, technical leadership, and business growth — with two very different chapters.
Roles
2013 → 2015
Starting from the early days
Joined CodeMyMobile when the company was only about two months old.
The early years were defined by breadth. The technology stack changed frequently as the products evolved, creating an opportunity to work across almost every part of the system.
The work moved from Android and web development into Python, Tornado and Django, followed by Angular, databases, and small-scale deployments on AWS EC2.
Rather than specializing in a single layer, the role expanded across the stack: mobile, web, backend, database, and infrastructure.
Within two years, the role had progressed from building applications to leading the engineering team.
- Android and web application development
- Python, Tornado and Django backend development
- Angular-based web applications
- Database administration and API development
- AWS / EC2 deployments
- CI and build automation with Jenkins
- Application architecture and scalability
- Team leadership

2018 → 2023
Returning to rebuild and scale
Returned several years later as the company's 5th employee, with a very different mandate.
The focus shifted from primarily building software to building the engineering organization and helping grow the business.
The team was rebuilt and scaled to almost 40 people, while the business grew to over ₹10 crore in revenue.
The responsibilities expanded across engineering leadership, team building, business strategy, process improvement, account management, software architecture, and technical consulting.
The Director of Engineering role was followed by a period as Board Advisor.

- Team building and hiring
- Business strategy
- Process improvement
- Account management
